I am going to start my Stockholm series with a little picture post of what happened when I kinda got lost somewhere around the Södermalm area…
First I found this old graveyard and park near a yellow-pinkish newly renovated church.
There were bright red tulips blossoming everywhere; reminding of the power of life and love amongst the old grave stones.
This vine circling the entrance of what looked like an office of a kind was something unique that I happened to see in the area.
My best guess is that the building beneath was a school of some sort.
This is where my little adventure took off; near the ‘Slussen’ metro station on the red line.
I just love old entrances (and documenting them to you, as well); hence the repeated motif in my posts…
I also absolutely love wandering around and finding historical areas where people still live and dwell in. This man was enjoying his morning coffee out in the balcony with a book. I would like to know what he was reading – and was it any good.
Another old door, this hiding a business behind itself.
You gotta appreciate the magic mushroom mural right next to the rusty vintage bicycle.
The colourful hairdresser’s place had special prices for students!
Actually quite many cafes had the rainbow colour scheme in the interior.
Another absolutely stunning court yard bathing in the early summer sun light!
More pics on the ‘cruise series’ coming up this week!
Yours,
Miah
